The Notary may base the authenticity of the signature on the fact that it was signed in his or her presence, on the acknowledgment made in his or her presence by the duly identified signatory, on his or her personal knowledge, on comparison with another authenticated original signature, or on comparison with another signature recorded in the Notary's Protocol or Record Book.
